A lifelong Mississippi resident, born and raised in Meridian, my husband Charles and I live just southeast of Meridian in the Causeyville community where we share a farm with a small herd of Brangus cattle, several horses, two dogs and two cats. Charles and I have always enjoyed farming and have worked for most of our adult life to support that habit. Charles is a general contractor and I am a CPA with my own practice. We spent many years showing and raising Quarter & Paint Horses before shifting our emphasis to commercial Brangus cattle. We recently completed the Master Cattle Producers program and feel our small herd of Brangus cattle speak well of our commitment to developing a quality product.
Photography is another passion of mine but working long hours leaves little time to pursue and improve your photography. Thanks to the patience of my life partner I have spent a large part of our vacations trying to do just that. Charles has heard more than once… “just let me take a couple more shots while the light is good”. And he has served me well as an assistant, lugging tripods and lenses to the end of the trail on just the chance of finding a good subject. He has been instrumental in enabling me to improve my photography.
My primary photographic interest is in trying to capture nature’s beauty thru landscape, flower and wildlife photography. I take pictures for myself, family and friends in an effort to convey the beauty and character of a particular place and time. If I am successful, we are able to recall and enjoy over and over a taste of what we have seen and experienced on our many journeys. When others enjoy my photography it is an added bonus and extremely gratifying. I hope you see something here that speaks to you or takes you to a place and time you too remember fondly.
